I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had good or bad experiences with Waste Connections (WCI), here in town. I live in the Stetson Hills area.

Yesterday morning was my normal pick up day. I had my trash bin outside early; I set it outside the night before.

I came home from work yesterday and it had not been emptied. This is the second time in 2 months that my trash didn't get picked up. I didn't have any unusual items in the bin....just regular "trash."

No note, no explanation, nothing. Now I have a full bin of trash and have to wait until next week. Trivial....yes.....but still bugs me.

I tried to call their customer service line, but of course, they're closed for the day.

I'm beginning to think I need to switch services.....have you have good or bad experiences with yours? Recommendations??? Tks in advance. My apologies if this topic has already been covered.

Try Best Way. I've had good luck with them over the years.

I second Bestway Disposal. Not only are they decent in pricing, they usually put your cans back up your driveway and they keep their schedule during most holidays (except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years) so unlike many other collection cos, they work days like most of the business world.

I third Bestday. They are always timely with pickup, I love that I have a big can for recycling, and they even let me suspend my service when I was out of town, so I didn't have to pay for trash pick-up I didn't need. Very friendly customer service as well.

Three weeks ago, I forgot to put out my Waste Connections toter but saw the driver taking a break on my cul de sac. When I politely asked if I could go ahead and bring it out he said yes, but I received a lecture from this person at least 3 decades my junior on being timely with my toter. I will be switching to Bestway today even though it costs a few bucks more a month.

Doesn't Bestway charge for their recycling? IIRC, it's $5/month for the big bin. No complaints from me - I'll happily pay $5/month not to sort.

No problems/complaints. But there aren't too many ways for a trash pickup to distinguish themselves.
