We have bought a home in Gleneagle and plan to move in early June from Alabama. I have heard there will be a new shopping area with a Cinemark movie theater being built off Interquest Parkway and I-25. It seems like it was announced a long time ago but I have not heard of any progress on the project.

Can anyone tell me if Interquest Marketplace is being built or is there still just a sign?

Lots of dirt has moved in the past two weeks while we were away. Saw the scrapers working today.

Been almost 7 years since this thread was active....but there may be something finally happening.

Construction on the Renaissance hotel started in 2007 but halted in 2009 due to lack of funding and the poor health of the developer. The property developer has since died and the hotel has been boarded up now for 4.5 years, with the property changing hands in a bankruptcy matter. A local buyer is now under contract to buy the property.

The Cinemark theaters at the location never happened, but the Hollywood Theaters chain built a 14-screen movieplex that is now owned by local billionaire Phillip Anschutz who owns the AEG / Regal Cinema Chain.

Sounds like a soap opera but that's where we are at this time.
