Me and my Fiance are getting married this June and he just graduated and has a really good job offer In CS. But neither one of us have been there before. I currently live in Houston and will be moving to Georgia in July with my husband so he can finish his masters. Most likely the offer will still stand by next spring.
I absolutely hate Houston, its extremely crowded and busy! Lets not talk about the humidity! GA is a lil better. But I prefer cooler climates, and NO humidity. I enjoy the sun but at the same time a nice breeze. How is the weather year round??
We also have a 3yr old son who will be 4 this yr and I wanted to know how to school's are there. We want to put him in private school, so if anyone know any good suggestions for school I am open.
How is housing? Apartments and homes. I've heard that it isnt really expensive.
How is the traffic? Anything is better than Houston's traffic!
What about shopping, entertainment, and living.
From the pics it looks beautiful with the mountain views! I've been in the southeast all my life and I want a change of scenery. I know i have alot of questions but I just want to make sure this is a place I would consider starting my new family

Well, since the job offer is IN COS, it sounds like all those other questions are kind of beside the point. Unless of course he has other similar offers in other places, in which case it could be a tough decision. Your questions are all really general and can be better addressed when you narrow it down to some specific areas. But here are a couple that I can address on a general level:
Traffic: not great, pretty bad during rush hour, but like you said, anything si better than Houston.
Shopping, Entertainment: All your basic box stores and a couple malls? Yes/ Minor league sports? Yes. High end specialty shopping? No. Big League Professional sports? No. As for concerts and other events, we get some pretty big names through here but they are very much a secondary stop compared to Denver.
