Has construction picked up at all? I know it's not good anywhere, but from what i see where i am, the industry has kind of normalized and there is steady work at a reasonable pace here in Ca. Blessing or Curse, i have a good job and that has been the only thing keeping me here.

What sort of construction work do you do? If residential, the outlook is not good. If commercial, better but not too good either. There may be opportunties in heavy-civil but it would depend on who you might be able to get hired by and also would likely require you to travel.

It seems you want out of California badly since you post this question regularly. I would not leave a steady job in California without getting a job here first.

i have done allot of the big commercial and public works type of projects. Also plenty of residential. Yes, every once and a while i can't take it anymore and i post about wanting to leave. I do have a good job here and that is why i am still here. California is just a mess and while i do OK for myself and have more than most, I want less.... Just tired of the go go grind and watching my American culture being taken away from me and my kids a piece at a time.
