Blanca sure looks green in that pic. You sure it wasn't photo shopped?

I know Blanca typically does not look that green, but i believe the plant in the picture may grow in arid climates. Not sure, but i will look.

Even though I spent my teen years in Craig, I had to vote for the Grand Valley. To me nothing is more striking than the contrast of the desert lands and the mighty Colorado flowing right through it all.

Craig would fall in the Northwest CO desert lands, and i love the NW CO/Roan Plateau desert lands, but i love the grand valley and western CO desert lands too.

With that said, i voted myself for the SoCo (southern CO) desert lands in Pueblo-Canon City-Florence. I just love SoCo!

Gateway-Naturita.

I've been through there very recently. I drove through on my way back to Castle Rock from Moab as a sort of "exploration" and it was stunning. Gorgeous area! I want to go through again.

I have friends with a house on a slightly elevated plateau near Palisade. The views of Mount Garfield, the Grand Mesa, and vicinity from their property is knock-your-socks-off stunningly beautiful. I attended an outdoor wedding there last June, and I had to keep pinching myself, wondering if the whole setting was real. With the cloud formations just prior to sunset, the setting was almost other worldly!

I picked NW because it had no votes and looked lonely.

Nice pics and thread.
