My husband and I are looking to move out to CO from Maryland in a few years (after last kid finishes HS) and we are looking for some information about areas in CO. We have done some research about some areas but we are unsure of the "culture". We are pretty liberal about politics and religion and are looking for an area that has a jewish community (even if it is small). We also live a natural/organic lifestyle. We are looking for a quaint medium sized town that is still close to entertainment, good restuarants, etc. The mildest of winters possible. Would also like to build or buy a home near a lake AND with a mountain view. Nice, clean air and safe .

Any guidance is helpful. Thanks!

I think that has to be Boulder....don't know about Jewish Community, but am sure it is liberal, natural foods, organic, well educated, safe, and a great place to live.

Debi, I grew up in Maryland, monkey county. I graduated from St. Mary's College in southern Maryland.

I have been in Denver for 17 years. There are several small synagogues and one larger one in the metro area. We have Whole Foods and Wild Oats, both organic grocery stores. Even the mainstream ones Safeway & King Soopers have organic meat and produce and groceries.

Life is different here than in MD. Contact me privately, and I can give you specific pointers that I cannot do on a public forum.
