My wife and I are looking for local farms that sell their products directly to their customers. We are mainly interested in :

Beef
Chicken
Eggs
Milk

We are located in Westminster but would be willing to drive a bit for teh right place. Thanks.

As well, many other Farmer's Markets throughout the season ... some in the hills of Colorado (for example, Vail), some in Cheyenne and Laramie. You'll find additional resources for meats (including bison, poultry, beef, pork, lamb), eggs, hand crafted unique jams/jellies, and other farm produce direct to consumer.

Do be aware that the standards for Farmer's Markets in the region vary widely. Some allow anybody to show up with a truck and sell products that they have obtained wholesale ... so what you are buying is the same commodity that shows up at the grocer's shelves; some sellers are very crafty at misrepresenting this and do a table layout display intended to lead you to believe that they are the producer.

Other Markets require that the seller be the producer of the items, which is a world apart especially if you are seeking organic products.

You might be interested in Johnson Acres. They are close by and sell raw milk along with a bunch of other products. You have to buy a part of a cow share to get the milk but then you get access to the other products.

First of all, because of their perishability, nearly all milk and eggs come from local sources. However, you can get very fresh eggs and milk from Royal Crest Dairy.

This company will deliver fresh milk and eggs to you on a weekly basis. They are fresher because they cut out the middlemen and so the milk and eggs are a few days fresher.

A place to find top quality meat is Tony's Meat Market in Centennial or Littleton. The best part is that you can get these meats year-round, not just during farmer's market season.

We received all our milk and eggs from Longmont Dairy (all natural but NOT RAW); their prices were better than Royal Crest for delivery.

Thank you for this. We have lived here 3 years and now that we have a house of our own, have wanted to buy half a cow and pig for our freezer. We've been searching ranches over at eatwild.com and then we came across your post. Well, we finally made it out there yesterday and bought a couple of steaks and grilled them up tonight. Oh my...we couldn't be happier...well, if they were completely grass fed, that would be better, but at $3.49/lb for a whole side of beef?!? SOLD!

Thanks again for the heads up. We are just bummed it took 3 years to find out about that place! Meat mecca is right!

Split side of beef ($3.69/lb), half a pic ($2.29/lb) and a plethora of Red Bird chicken for a steal. Pick it up in 4 weeks!
