I know Affordable Care Act (ACA) made it so health care is affordable in terms of family income, and there is a deadline to enroll for cheap health care insurance. My family do not have insurance this year (2014), and we plan to apply for one next year with the ACA. I've looked at some insurance online, so we can get some insurance for the remaining years left. But almost all were listed from $800 to $2,000 per month. Was insurance this expensive before ACA?
