Well..this might be a little of a reverse but, here goes!

I am from COLORADO as so are my sons. My oldest is in Rhode Island (he is a professor at Johnson&Wales University)................My youngest is in Honolulu Hawaii (he is a cryptologist in the Navy and, will be there for 4 more years). That said,...BOTH of them long to be back in Colorado!!

It shocked me with all of their travels and such but...."get out of Dodge and, move back to where you came from") right???

You will, I promise you, get used to the cold!!

I just lived on the Treasure Coast in Florida for 1 year......I lived on the Ocean(directly). Hated it!!

I just wanted to be back near the mountains....seriously!! I really thought my husband and I would retire on the ocean ( at least that was the plan!)

NOT!!! Same thing with my sons!! Weird huh???

Both are on the ocean...one on the Atlantic side (where I was) and....one on the Pacific (with tons of days on a ship out to sea!).

However, BOTH want to be back in Colorado!!
How weird is that?? They want to be back to the place they ran from?!!

I seriously thought that after being in TROPICAL temperatures for a year, I would probably freeze to death for awhile/......NOT!!

There is something to say about (moderate) temperatures, no matter what time of year it is or.......what will happen next (as far as weather).

I really do not care what the day brings,...just that it brings another day!
Planning something? So what? Surprises are what I live for!
The same-o, same-o,..everyday is just simply...BORING!!

I mean,...afterall.......how many events does one PLAN in any given year??

If one is flexible....you will be a happy camper with Colorado's weather!!

Do not stress at all!! You and yours will get used to the Temps and, grow to love all of the seasons!!! I promise you....you WILL be fine!!

Regards,
Sheridan

Happy Montrose,

I'd love Hawaii any time of the year just to see my son!

I'd also love being in Montrose and near Ouray!! It's my second choice in Colorado!!

Of course, Colorado is pretty darned hard to beat!!
Heck, I just moved back here 2 months ago after moving on the beach in Vero Beach, Florida! Thought I'd live out my life near my family, staring at the ocean all day! NOT!! It's just water and not majestic mountains that we have here!

I also have to say that I will NOT miss the bugs (fire ants and no-seeums)!
My year stint in Florida has scarred me for life!! At least we don't have to deal with that here in good ole Colorado!!YAY!!
