There is a smokeless cigarette, it's called Eclipse. I have a pack..it's weird..it burns down the core(kind of ceramic like).

That's at many as six addictive behaviors in one snapshot. The behaviors typically travel in multiples, most people don't have just one. Sounds like quite a few marriages, including what happened to all three of my sister's first marriages. IMO, addictive behavior and compulsive behavior are a lot alike and often look the same. Excessive shopping is another one.
I would agree with that actually! It does seem many times that addictive behavior extends to more than one area of a person's life.

Face it, this is a losing battle in this thread. All the non smoking vigilantes haved totally disregarded the fact that IMO federal law could accomodate both smoking and non smoking people, and in many states they do. I'm not proposing special treatment, just equal treatment. While smoking itself is not a protected right, doing what one wants with their own body is a protected right (such as Roe v. Wade for women anyway). Having a "smoking room" or an outdoor patio where people who choose to smoke can do so does not harm anyone but the people who choose to go in that area. You don't even have to have employees in that area. One could go to the bar, get their, drink, and if they wanted to smoke could go into the separated room, leaving the second hand smoke for those of us inhaling it anyway. Despite the fact that I smoke, I wasn't raised poorly, nor do I lack education; it's just a habit I choose to partake in. Would you infer to an obese person that they lacked education or proper raising because they're fat? Obesity causes many of the same health problems that smoking does i.e high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer etc. And while someone being obese doesn't physically effect others, it does financially. It's one of the other main reasons that insurance companies raise premiums, but you do not see heavy people paying increased premiums as smokers do. The fact is we all have some sort of habit or "weakness" if you will. It could be cigarettes, chocolate cake, beer, gambling or McDonalds. To suggest that there is something wrong with me because I choose to smoke rather than engage in some other habit is insulting and unfair. The last time I checked, smoking was not illegal, and as long as I don't subject others who do not wish to be subjected to it, I've done nothing wrong.
