Hi..
I'm a single mom who just recently got offered a job in Grand Junction. I would be relocating from a small farm town in Iowa that has no room for growth. I guess I just have a couple questions to help me decide if this is a town for me. As I have read some of the forums I guess I'm looking for a little more advice or direction...

how is the daycares in GJ? I have visited some while I was there this week but being a single mom I like input from others?

Is it easy to find trusting highschool or college kids who love children to babysit when needed?

What kind of activities are there for kids? My sister lives in Gunny and they are very community based and was wondering if GJ is like that?

Other than Kidzplex is there other places for toddlers to learn dance and other arts ?

Is this a safe community for a single parent?

How is the dating scene for single parents?

Thanks I'm just trying to get input for a transition for my family. I have another state in mind also so I'm just trying to figure which one is better fit for me.

You might check this recent thread: "My take on the Grand Junction area". I don't know if any of your specific questions are answered, but it may give you some good information on the area.
