I'm visiting Brightol, Colorado this weekend and looking to buy blue agave nectar. Is it available at a regular supermarket? If not, where can I find it?

I assume you meant to type Brighton, not Brightol.

Anyway, I don't know about BLUE Agave Nector, but I've been buying Madhava (brand) Agave Nector for several years at the local City Market (look for King Soopers if shopping in Brighton). It's usually stocked next to honey. The label says it is made from the "salmiana variety" of agave -- I don't know if that's a different agave than what you are wanting. This particular product is packed and distributed by a company in Lyons, CO

You might try a health food store if you are looking specifically for "blue" agave.

Yes, I meant Brighton. And thank you very much for your information! I heard that "blue (tequilana)" is the best of all, but it's very hard to find, even online. I also heard that you can find many varieties of agave nectars in Colorado so I thought I should try to find blue agave nectar while I'm in Colorado. But the product you mentioned sounds good too, and I'm glad that it's available at a supermarket. I will definitely look for it. Thank you again!

I hope I can make Tequila, but no, I just want to buy blue agave nectar as sugar substitute.
