Can someone please point me in the right direction. We are on the point of obtaining the Mineral Rights to a tract of Land in Colorado. We wish to extract the minerals but can not commence doing so until we obtain the Surface Rights (?) is this correct ???? If so would a simple agreement on paper between us and the Surface Rights Owner be okay ?? Does anyone have a Template of a suitable letter that we could use that would work ??? Or give us some idea of what we need to put into such a letter to cover ourselves. Please advise. If you want you can email me direct to: anglotrident@in.com

Kind Regards

Dr Wilson

Sounds like you need an attorney, who specializes in real estate/mineral rights.

I agree 100% with that. I work with severed mineral rights regularly, but I don't give legal advice about them because I'm not an attorney, and the legal issues can sometimes get complex.
