Hi so I finally moved to Columbia, and I love it so far, 2 of my co-workers keep telling me how raceist columbia is and telling me not to talk to other people cause they will give me and give me a hard time, so I told them that all I have to do is ignore them and walk away, and they said that when i turn my back that they will attack me, and that i moved to the KKK capitol. please give me some input PLEASE, I got mad and said so should my family and I pack our stuff and move back to Richmond,

I'm sure the people who said that have spent very little or no time here so they don't know what they're talking about. I would totally disagree with those statements.

I'd add that I heard more racist comments ( even "jokes" ) back home in WI then I have down here. Im sure there is ignorance here like in any other city/region; but in 2 years I've never seen or heard anything blatant.
