What are my chances of finding a house in decent condition in a decent location in columbia for under 60k? Is this realistic?

Homes with some TLC required, especially mobile homes, trailers, even brick homes with TLC can be found in Columbia in the range $20K to $60K quite easily. Try posting in Craigslist first.

Slim, depending on your definition of decent, but not impossible. Craigslist is joke. Your best bet is to get a Realtor to help you out. They can set up MLS access for you and it doesn't cost you anything.
