Preferably in the Northeast.

And by local I mean local to the Carolinas or the South (like Highlands?). My husband likes to try beers he's never had before. We just moved to town and haven't had time to scope out more than the Publix and the Food Lion.

He works downtown, so that might work, too.

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

Thanks!

I know both Thomas Creek (from Greenville) and Palmetto (from Charleston) are sold in both Bi-Lo and Publix throughout the state (and adjoining states).
Thomas Creek Brewery

I had asked about a Columbia brewery a few months back and found out that Columbia does not have a brewery that distributes, only a local brewpub.

I'm sure Columbia must have places like these, though I don't know where they are located:
The Community Tap
The Greenville Beer Exchange
The Charleston Beer Exchange

Anyway, to answer your actual QUESTION, OP, Green's Beverages on Assembly (and they have a store on Piney Grove in the NW, too) or Morganelli's near Forest Drive and Beltline are good bets. The latter is closer to the Northeast. (I don't know, offhand, a great place in the Northeast, proper, as I live downtown.)
