This past Wednesday I needed a simple watch battery replacement.

I went to a local "Warehouse" jeweler on Sunset Blvd. No jeweler in the store. Wanted me to leave it. Good looking young women employees (lights on, nobody home) and plenty of T-shirts, but nobody that can do the job.

On Thursday, I went to an old time jeweler on Main St. Closed for the day sign on the door.

I then went to another old time jeweler on Main St. No jeweler in the store, wanted me to to leave it.

By now I am not a happy camper. Come on folks. A simple watch battery replacement. A no brainer folks. Do it while I wait.

I then went to Carolina Fine Jewelery on 4708 Sunset Blvd. Yes Sir, that will be $8.00. I was in and out in less then two minutes. Fast, fair price, friendly, polite, no excuses, etc.

In the future, my jewelry business will be done with Carolina Fine Jewelry.

Did you mean to type Forest Drive instead of Sunset Blvd?

And remember the days when you could go into Wal Mart or K Mart and get a battery replaced?
