Orangeburg SC-GKN Aerospace (shop, housing, area)

I have read postings about Orangeburg SC, but they are pretty old (2007). Can anyone tell me if in five years later (2012), whether this area has seen any improvements in crime, job development, new housing, shopping, etc.?

I read about GKN Aerospace. Is this company or any others having a positive impact on growth in the area?

There have been MANY recent posts on Orangeburg. Are you using the "search Forum" tool?. I'm not familiar with the company but you can subscriber to the Orangeburg Times & Democrat online (recommend) or set a Google alert for that company. Good luck.
