I'm wanting to move to Columbia but to a safer area. I heard Broad River is bad and anywhere in Lexington, Garners Ferry area, or Forest Acres are good.

But I kind of want to live where at least there's more life. Hartsville is just not where I need to be. I need to be where its more abuzz because I need to live how I want to live my life without being judged for it.

Also what sites can I go on to look for what I need. Not CL please too many creepers and pervs.

Get a studio downtown - Senate Plaza, Park Circle, Wilshire House, etc.

Avoid Claire Towers. I hate to say that because the people working there are really really nice but its in real bad shape and very sketchy despite its great location and amazing views.

All the above are great paces, but I would also add in Capitol Places on Main Street, Palms on Main, Vista Commons, Canalside, Parkside, Justice Square, Pavilion Towers, Renaissance Plaza, City Club, Lofts at Printers Square, Addesso. Also depending on when your moving check out The Hub at Columbia it opens in August 2014 but its supposed to be awesome and geared towards Young Professionals and Students in Downtown.
