What is going on there? Meaghen Norman has left and also the new weather guy Rob Ellis left after a brief time. Their news readers are all female and their street reporters are slowly becoming all young blondes who look alike.

All news, all female, all the time.....

Just a reflection of today's "entertainment" in general; which is, in turn, a reflection of the average IQ of viewers. Content no longer matters as long as it's dressed up with a pretty face and a little T&A...

Well Ellis left on his own to go to Indianapolis so...
Not sure about why Norman is gone but at least one of them left on their own.

You're rarely going to see reporters stay long in the Columbia market. Most people in TV want to push themselves to the bigger markets with better paychecks. Many times, the TV stations assume they will leave and don't offer much in the way of a better contract. There will always be exceptions and if you get to the anchors desk, the pay usually is much better.

There's a lot of reporters at WIS WLTX WOLO and WACH that's been there for years. Like Tim Miller, Ben Tanner, Joe Pinner. Decades they've been there.

Don't forget Jim Gandy. But none of the people you mentioned are reporters. They're meteorologists. And what I said about anchors fits for them, too.

They're better paid than reporters and tend to set roots in the community whereas reporters move around a lot before settling down.

Good. I'm glad to hear that. SPA is a good station and he was working in that area before he went to WIS.

I quit watching WIS 7 or 8 years ago. WLTX is my go to for local news.
