I’m making this thread because I remember there was suppose to be an outlet mall off I-77 near SCANA and I’m just wondering if anyone knows of any development along the project. Or a timeline or possibly even any stores? And what stores we all would like to see.
I don't know that there's a need for it to be too big since it's competing with established outlet malls in Hilton Head, Charleston, MB, Gaffney, Charlotte, and one in Commerce, GA in that direction.
Interesting.. I would like to see what types of stores end up in this outlet..or if it becomes like the old Outlet Point Shopping Mall off of Bush River which was the first generation of an Outlet Mall in the 80s.. but that was when Outlet Malls were truly Outlets for overstock, irregulars, and off season items.. Now Outlets are more "Designer" Outlets more than anything else...and extensions of the Mall Stores.. but with better sales. But.. if Smithfield NC has an Outlet.. why not Columbia
