So. I have heard on more than one occasion that a Whole Foods was coming here. Is there any truth to that? Not that I really care about Whole Foods but they usually are located in pretty nice centers. Also has anyone heard who purchased the old swift site?

I have not heard anything on either front. Still very curious about the swift mill buyer though.

With what was going on with WF before they were bought by Amazon, I would've said, "no way, no how". They had pretty much put a moratorium on any future builds to begin with and they were rethinking their entire market strategy. The WF in Augusta didn't even last a year before it shuttered.

Now that Amazon is the owner and WF are probably going to turn into a slightly more inclusive market + become free same/next day delivery hubs...it could be possible.

There have been rumors for a several years that they were looking at our market, but so far only rumors. We will have to see how the Amazon purchase affects future expansions. I know a lot of people in Columbus that want one here.

Not enough apparently Costco has stated on there Facebook that they KNOW Columbus residents want them here. Hopefully they (finally) decided to do something about it.

But we both know its going be some type of big box discount store surrounded by sandwich and ice cream shops.
