Construction barricades have been removed from the work site on the Riverwalk around the 14th Street pedestrian bridge, opening that section of the linear park back up for users. Now the only interruptions remaining on the Riverwalk are the sections at City Mill and the North Highland Dam, but those projects have gotten past the engineering stage and the city expects to bid the project out in the early spring, according to city Planning Director Rick Jones. The projects could be completed by the spring of 2016, Jones said.
