So exciting to see how much this project has transformed the riverfront. Especially looking forward to the possible $100 million in new construction planned for the six acres they own at the north end of the property.

Braxton concedes there's more work to be done downtown, and the riverfront still has key pieces remaining to develop. That includes about six acres at the northern end of the company's property, adjacent to the Frank K. Martin Pedestrian Bridge and a very short stroll to the TSYS campus. She estimates W.C. Bradley will spend in the neighborhood of $100 million on that parcel of land, since it will be brand new construction, although there's no timeline yet for work to begin.

Braxton said downtown enthusiasts should expect more residential offerings on the acreage, perhaps some retail space, with a hotel a possibility. But, as it has done with the Eagle & Phenix project thus far, the company expects to be deliberate when it comes to making any final decision on what goes there and when.

"The Bradley Co. has developed four blocks on the riverfront. We take pride in that we like to go find best practices in other communities. We like to go find experts that have done it," she said. "We know we've got one shot at this."

I hope if they go residential route they'll do something smart and not waste that great lot. Maybe a residential, hotel mix development or something.

Such a beautiful project. Looking forward to seeing what they do with that parcel. Perfect spot for a high-rise mixed-use project overlooking the rapids.

I agree it would be great to see a 8 story condo mixed use development here.

Eight stories would be mid-rise, which I think would fit in better with the rest of the city than a high-rise.

I agree eight stories would be perfect. Because the higher you go up on height and floors the more costly the project would cost. So eight stories would be perfect because it wouldn't be too short or too tall it would be midrise which is perfect. But I hope in a few years we can see something come out of this property or project.

Any word on what they will do with the wheel house overlooking the rapids? That would be a great spot for a restaurant if it can be converted into something like that.

I thought it was being renovated into one? That's what I heard a couple of years ago.
