Will it be cheaper or more convenient for me to reside in Phenix City, AL or Columbus, GA. Is income based or low income housing also offered in Phenix City? Is the school system better? Which city is there more to do in and attraction?

Looking for an area that's kid friendly, some attraction lots of restaurants, park for kids under 4, meet new people. my budget is $600 for one bedroom tho! Would it be easy to find a rmmate in these areas

Columbus is a way bigger population so you have more options for a roommate. It is cheaper to live in Phenix City mainly because of taxes and amenities. Low-income housing is offered in Phenix City but Columbus has more options and a lot of new buildings are being built for low income. School system in Columbus has 50+ Schools to go to. Overall Phenix City a cheaper place to live, maybe the apartments are around the same prices, but if you're concerned about school districts Columbus has more funding and options.
