Are you just blind? Downtown is the best it has ever been. Once the new lofts/condos are finished on the river, the new YMCA, etc., it will be an amazing place. CSU's new campus, the RiverCenter, new convention center expansion, and the new restaurants/bars/clubs have all added to the downtown scene. It is a great place to go on the weekends.

i see this a lot on CDF. dangerous areas reported on CDF are contested by other posters as safe.

You keep talking about new looks/appearance and not safety.....2 completely different subjects.
Try walking up the beautful Riverwalk from 13th up past TSYS campus on any day of the week.....if you dare.
I know police officers who won't even do it....lol

Default Cdf?

What does CDF stand for? I can't wait to see how dangerous downtown is. Of course, having lived ITP(Inside the perimeter) of ATL quite a few years back, my reality and that of someone who has never lived in an urban area, probably differ substantially.

You people amaze me. I have been downtown more than any of you, and I have never felt uneasy at all. Columbus is a city, and in a city there is crime. People who are out at 3AM are only looking for trouble. Columbus is safe, but just like any good sized city, it can become dangerous at night. Powerplay, give it up man, you are ridiculous.

What does CDF stand for?? I agree if your out at 3 AM bad things can happen. But, I have left clubs in ATL way later than that and have never been a victim of a violent crime.
