What are the pros / cons of living within the purview of a suburban school district but being within the City of Columbus for taxes and city services?

Any issues with emergency response times or snow removal? Are there advantages?

In the Worthington school district, there are definitely issues with Columbus not plowing residential streets. There will literally be a line and on the Worthington side it is plowed and salted and the Columbus side has a foot of snow (or packed ice slicks where everyone has driven on unplowed snow for a week). I am not sure of the exact rules but there is definitely a difference in trash pickup because I have a relative in the Columbus area who brings big items to my house for pick up because Columbus will not accept them. Worthington takes pretty much everything. You also pay non-Worthington fees for the Community Center, I think.

I don't know enough to really follow this article, but it looks like there is always a risk of losing the school district and being annexed to Columbus?

Upside, Lower Taxes!

I forgot to include the link to the article about the Win Win situation. I don't think there is anyone in Worthington really worried that their Columbus house will become Columbus City Schools.
