[SIZE=3]We are coming to The States on holiday next week and were planning on buying a netbook to compliment our travels. However, they are roughly a third more expensive in the UK compared to what I've seen on the above Web sites in the US (even with the relatively poor exchange rate).[/SIZE]

As netbooks are preconfigured and essentially a commodity item, buy one by specifications and price, not store.
Do read up whether any of the warranties are valid in the US only or will they honor it internationally too. Ditto with the adapter voltage ... make sure they'd work with 230v/50Hz too.
