That was then, this is now. I thought about this thread because I started to reconsider getting another laptop. I'm willing to spend a little more money now, so it is a matter of getting a laptop with good quality.

I took the risk and bought a new laptop. So far so good. It is a brand new Toshiba Satellite L775. The battery is better on this computer. It runs cooler because the fan vents are on the side. I left my laptop unplugged for two hours and the battery was still working. It was at 26% when I checked. My old laptop, a Compaq CQ60, would run hot, the battery wasn't all that reliable. I feel like I got a better laptop this time. I spent about $530 on it, after taxes.
