New PC, forgot bookmarks! (desktop, hard drive, e-mail, flash)

Just got a new desktop & I forgot to figure out how to save & transfer all my bookmarks from the old one. Is there a way to do this w/out hooking the old one all back up to get online & etc?

You don't need to get the old computer online, but you do need access to its hard drive, whether by booting the old PC or connecting its C drive to your new computer.
Hmm...I think it will be best to hook up the old one again then transfer the Favorites to an HTML file or if using Firefox then back the Bookmarks as a .json file type on your desktop (if you do not have a Flash drive), then e-mail them to yourself.
It may be late for this now but it would still work. Also as general info going forward you or other readers may be interested in looking at an add-on called XMARKS. It is pretty slick.
It enables maintaining common bookmarks across multiple computers and browsers (Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari) by synching either automatically, on events (like shutdown), or on request. It also supports this optionally for passwords.
It is simple to set up. In your current situation you could simply upload all you bookmarks to the server and then restore them on the new puter....maybe in multiple browsers if you like. You could then keep them in synch on one or more puters using it. If you had already been using it, you could have simply restored to the new puter.
It stores your stuff (in multiple versions...) on a remote server either provided free by the service or on a server of your own. Encryption and more are available, but those interested will want to investigate it on their own.
There may be similar tools out there too of course.

Eventually, I will be in the market for a new computer most likely (unless someone knows how to upgrade, help this one..) - can you explain how to back up the bookmarks? I just looked and don't see that as an option, thanks!
