um computers are not operating systems FYI.

Quite a blast from the past - "only" $3K for a PC back then. Course that was 1985!

I know, I meant to say the computers that came with MS Windows were a technological leap over PCs that had the MS DOS operating system.

Has anyone seen the movie 'Pirates of the Silicon Valley'? Shows the real face of BG and MS.

ah thx for clarification. Kinda depends on when/what you were talking about. For awhile when Windows was still getting big, many people used the same PCs and either did or didn't have Windows on it. In fact, until Windows 95, Windows wasn't even an operating system, really. It was just a GUI that "sat on top" of DOS.
