Is this normal? Did I just break my router?

I was transferring several gigs of files over the network (copying from a broken computer to salvage them.) Now the router won't stay connected. It keeps losing the connection every 5 - 30 seconds and regaining it another 5-10 seconds later. If it keeps this up, it'll be impossible to even update the rom on the router.

I've already tried:

1) Turning the router off for several minutes and turning it back on.
2) Resetting the router.

None of those worked.

Is this router (TrendNet tew-432brp) gone for good?

Probably ready to die and a little bit of extra heat kicked it over the edge.

Although it sounds like the router is dying, I'd still go ahead and try to switch to a different port on the router and/or try a different cable.
