And some of the commands do not translate to the PC. Like Ctrl+Shift+3 or 4 to do screen captures. Others, like Ctrl+L do work.

Operators are practically useless and will only hinder a search for most people.

Google as an engine is so good that you'll usually find what you're looking for even if you ask it a question.

My strategy is to cast the widest net within the subject I'm looking for. Sometimes an article that you needed would have otherwise been cut out by being too specific.

Other than my personal preference on the above the article was pretty good.

Lastly I think it's more of a mindset to use google than anything else. By that I mean people still look in the white/yellow pages to find info on a company. Or look up a word in the dictionary/encyclopedia. When really you can just google it.

Harder questions and I have to scour forums, for things like car repair and computer repair; because in some cases I'm trying to find the meaning of something without knowing what it is I'm looking for.

That's always a pain.

Haven't had / seen either of those things in years! I forget that you can even buy things locally, and tend to go to the web first.

This can be half the battle, knowing what terms to search is often more important than anything else.

We used the white/yellow pages up until last year... when my youngest daughter got old enough to reach the table without a booster...
