With touchscreens on computers and laptops these days, I'm curious as which software you guys like that makes use of the multi-touch interface.
I use Windows, but will keep the discussion open to any touchscreen-enabled software on any desktop OSes (including MacOS, Linux, etc). I'm not adverse to using other platforms.
Let's not discuss mobile OSes such as Android, iOS, etc... since that's a whole other ballgame when it comes to the touchscreen interface.
The only touch screens I work with at this point are not the fancy multi-touch ones, but simple mouse emulation overlays. They don't have high enough pointer resolution to use with normal applications.
The only apps that I work with are ones that I write for a vertical market and aren't any fun!
I see. The Microsoft Surface apps are pretty cool. But they're not productivity apps. Microsoft Word, Microsoft OneNote, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop are great with a digitizer. Acrobat is also a great reader with the touch interface.
Chrome, Firefox and IE are all excellent with the touch screen. You can scroll, click links, resize really easily with the touchscreen.
My wife has an all-in-one with touch capability, but she mostly uses her mouse. She bought it that way. I, on the other hand, knew I'd not use touch much, if at all.
