Internet Explorer Tiles Driving Me INSANE! (CD, mouse, sound, Windows)

This is going to sound like a stupid question but it has been driving me crazy for a couple of years. The newer versions of Internet Explorer has the window tiles stacked up on each other, where you have to move your cursor over them to see the various windows open. This is a PITA because it requires two mouse movements to switch widnows. One for revealing the tiles and another for moving to click the one you want. I also hate having to right click and then click again to open a new window. That's another two steps when the old way allowed for just clicking once to open a new window.

I liked the old way where all of the tiles were spread out on the task bar. My son recently bought a computer and switched his to the way I want mine to be. But he forgets how he did it!!! He said it was in google but I googled it and I can't find anything about it. Does anyone know how?

Have a look in Tools, Internet Options, General Tab, Tabs - Settings button.

Thank you. None of the changes I make are working. I've even restarted my computer. No matter what boxes I check or uncheck, it stays the same.

Try this:

1. Right click on an empty space of the taskbar and select "Properties".



2. Change Taskbar buttons to "Never combine"



3. Enjoy



NOTE: This seems to work when you have multiple windows, not when having multiple tabs. Those still get grouped together.

Let's talk browsers.

I read some articles on "best internet browsers for PC." Google them if you want to reference.

Basically they said each one was best for something specific. The concensus is that Internet Explorer is best for security and averageman browsing.

I'm an averageman. Well, woman. I've never switched from Internet Explorer because it serves my needs.

If you look in the About Forum forum, you'll see threads where people are having lots of problems with this website lately.

It's their browsers. The only problem I've had with CD is the decreased participation of others due to the problems they are having.

Enjoy your browsers. I could not care less which you use.

I do care what search engine you use. Please don't post a link to Bing.

That will send me over the edge, especially a link to Bing Maps because it's so inferior and inaccurate.
