I was given an IPAD which has Safari as a Browser. As it turns out many of the businesses I deal with online have systems that do not support Safari and it's presence interferes with using even Google. It appears the IPAD was built with Safari and I can't figure out how to rid myself of SAFARI?

You can't remove Safari as far as I know. How is it interfering with your use of Chrome?

Chrome is in the app store for free. Download it.

Not chrome, just plain google works better. The Army PX and my local credit union have software that does not support Safari and even tell me that. I would like to rid myself of Safari but apparently it is tied in with other functions. Luckily I also have a nook that I cn use for those sights

Chrome is a browser, like Safari or Explorer, but created by Google instead of Apple or Microsoft. I'm not sure what you mean by "plain Google."

I suspect your problem is Flash, not the browser per se. If those sites use Flash, it won't work on the iPad at all, regardless of which browser you use.

I surfed to https://shop.aafes.com with my iPhone (Safari) and the site recognized it and gave me a special mobile page. I don't think you have a Safari problem.
And when I used Safari on my iMac, I was able to "shop".

Once. Again, my problem is that the software at certain sights does not support Safari. It even warns me that it does not support Safari. Unfortunately it appears the IPad needs Safari. I am able to access these sights with my Nook as it does not have Safari. It appears I may just have to wait until. The PX and my Credit Union are dragged into the 21st Century and get apps

As dkf747 said, Chrome (which is Google's Web browser and available for download for free in the App Store) is another option.
