After checking with community sources there is a common problem that is gradually worsening with Google seemingly in Gmail where you can receive and e-mail but not only are you unable to reply to that email but you nearly instantly lose the webpage . If you attempt to respond the computer locks up and the whole mess mimics a virus but its really Google network that is bugged not the customer. This may resolve in a short time but when relying on urgent communication via e-mails Google is at the very bottom of the list (unless I'm over reacting a bit?)
Yeah just finished with Norton Tech support . For starters they removed registry errors including Optimizer Pro
We then ran scans to see if there were any problems detected ...none. So I went back to my Gmail got to my
e-mails but again webpage recovery started right back up and unable to page up or down unable to reply and
I lose the connection and windows explorer as well. With no evidence of malware or viruses its just a strange
problem perhaps with wireless customers but on the internet many are having the same problem without reso-
lution?
What if you delete Chrome, clean cookies and history, check for malware and viruses, use CCleaner, then log out and turn off your computer, disconnect your wireless modem for 15 minutes, then connect all again, log in, download Chrome and see what happen....

I agree to try Malwarebytes. Also, try disabling google chrome extensions one by one and see if it is a faulty extension/app. Has happened to me more than once.
