usually y pcs last me roughly 7-10 years(granted some parts die and I replace them, but usually the mobo lasts and so does the ram)

anyways right now itll be mostly multitasking with word, brwosers, some coding and gaming. nothing intense, but id like to future proof it for the next 8 years or so.

I know lga 2011 (x99 chipset) is more expensive. your opinions?

If you want truely future proof components, wait for skylake. 1150 is about to leave circulation.
