I have a social media campaign for illnesses with about 10,000 followers. We started doing interviews online but my crappy computer has an even crappier web cam. The site we use is fine, it's Zoom and everyone else looks and sounds ok. I'm the only one that is kinda blurry and sounds muffled a bit.

I am not tech savvy and can't afford expensive but need something to correct this.

What web cam can I buy (inexpensive) that will look better, can zoom me in and out and has sound? Not sure they have sound or is that just my computer? Ideas welcome. Thanks.

Most, if not all, webcams will have built-in mics.

The Logitech c920 ($70) is very popular and should fit your needs: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Webc.../dp/B006JH8T3S

If you want to go cheaper and don't care about image quality and resolution then a $20 Logitech c270 will do: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004FHO5Y6

or the $20 Microsoft Lifecam: https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Lif...dp/B008ZVRAQS/

Thank you. These are decent quality that you are familiar with?

Microsoft LifeCam is really good but the model I can vouch for is a bit more than the one mentioned:

This is the one we use and it is really good (plus digital microphone, better quality sound capturing plus 2-way talking).

I look horrible in Skype video calls but that is neither Skype's nor the camera's fault!

Worst case scenario, get this model for $20 on eBay.
