For the last few days, I've been getting the "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" box pop up almost every time I try to back out of a site. True, all I have to do is click on "leave this page" but it's getting annoying. Anyone else have this problem? What have you been able to do to remedy it? HELP! I have Windows 10 on a Lenovo Yoga and I use Windows Explorer.

Which version of Internet Explorer (which is what I think you mean rather than Windows Explorer)?

Is it happening on all websites or just a certain site? If it's just one certain site then it's likely the coding of the website and not an issue with your browser. I get that message using Chrome sometimes. It usually happens if I'm on a website with an open form (where I'm typing something and don't submit the information).

you could turn off javascript, which is no doubt how it is coded, but then you might have difficulties with other sites. No other fix I'm aware of.

I get that all the time on Chrome as well. But not if I'm only going to one page.

It's great idea for certain things but certainly can be abused and will be... <sigh>

City data for example uses this on replies but only if you actually type something in. They can further enhance this by having a check box, "don't show me this message again"

Someone on another board said it is a Microsoft "patch" problem and that they will eventually fix it. He said it has popped up before.

I'm a complete computer idiot.....it either works or it doesn't.

If it doesn't resolve itself, I'll go find a neighborhood kid to fix it for me - LOL.
