I teach online using Skype but my doctor's nurse said today that I would have to download Zoom for a virtual health check in July. My question: can both programs be used on the same laptop without causing difficulties?
I could put Zoom on a different laptop. I sure don't want to do anything to interfere with Skype. I'm responsible to 47 students and they're all on Skype.

Not a problem. I probably have 4 of these apps installed on my one laptop.
Zoom will. It has what they call web sessions, which is just a lightweight Zoom running in your browser. You do need a Zoom account (free or paid) to use the web session so if it's just a one time thing it's easier to just download and install it than make an account.
I prefer the download onion for zoom, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to do that. It doesn’t interfere with Skype unless trying to run both at same time.
You do *NOT* need a Zoom account (free or paid) to use the web session
He meant NOT.
