I had Microsoft Word temporarily for a class I was taking. During that I created a resume using word. To make a long story short, I no longer have an active Word account, but I want to copy and paste the resume onto a word alternative.
Open Office is free word processing software that I use. It can open Word documents and produce documents that can be saved in a Word format. I don't use Libre Office, another free software program, but a lot of folks use that also.

Any suggestions? Is that possible?
Most popular products will support word. As other's have said, openoffie, Libre office, etc.
Google docs will also open them (it may not render complex formatting if you have it).
But - there is an online version of Word that is free from Microsoft.

How can you copy it if you no longer have access to it? Did you save it on a flash drive?
Since you had this for a class you were taking, you can use your school email address to obtain a free Microsoft Office 365 which will give you access to Word.
Have you tried opening the file in google docs or similar? (i believe this was suggested earlier).
or ..
-email to a friend with word, have them put into a free word processing tool (google) for you
-take the file to a location w/ word. Library, college computer lab, etc. Convert it.
Open Office or Docs to go on Android or Apple will both do the job.
Just open and save it from either
LOL Yea, I know. Tell it to OP.
