No. I think the pricing is strictly controlled by Nintendo. Sams has the best I've seen, but then I'm not looking too hard. We got a $100 gift card when we bought our PS3 at Sams and it's going towards the Wii purchase.
What accessories to buy is the biggest pain in the butt, though.
We got a Wii a year ago, and the biggest most important accessory we got was two extra controllers.
Also, the best group game we've found has been Boom Blox and the sequal Bash Party. Up and running with complete noobs in 5 minutes, and six-year-olds can play alongside adults and not get smeared.
Nintendo strictly controls the price on the Wii, so just suck it up and pay it if you want it. It's how they offer good support, as in my case. My Wii bricked on an update back in August, about 3 months out of warranty (no, I didn't mod it). Because it was their update that bricked it, they replaced the whole unit, including shipping both ways, on a single phone call.
Dell had it for $179 but I missed the one day sale, the Mrs. and I are going to get ourselves one for x-mas so I'm not always upstairs playing Left 4 Dead.
We play a lot of games on the PC and the PS3, mostly over the winter. We've started Uncharted 2 and we are enjoying it, but it's more of a shoot 'em up game than the first and because of that we aren't liking it as much. We liked Ratchet and Clank Search for Booty and are planning on buying the others as they come out. We are also looking at Indiana Jones by Lego since it consistently gets high ratings.
We already have some games for the Wii that we bought last spring. Toys R Us had a really good sale so we jumped. We got Mario Cart with the wheel and we think it's going to be a blast.
BTW this is an excellent site for review compilations:
