My computer now is just restarting over and over again. It cann't start windows at all. I have a Compaq Presario model SR5010NX and have Vista system. And also I don't have any system disks from Compaq. Staples tech people said they have tricks to get back into the system some way. I pushed all F-8 and F-10,F-11,F-12 keys without any help. I'm getting a code Oxc000000f
Cann't even get it start in safe mode? Is there anymore F keys or another trick to get me to start windows or will I have to order system disks from Compaq?
"The boot selection failed because a device is inaccessible." It is possible you have a failed hard disk. Is your computer making a repeated clicking sound?
Do you know anyone with Vista? You might be able to borrow their CD and see if it works before forking over money to HP for one.
I admit that is a bit of a long shot as HP disks can proprietary, but if it's not running now...
Depending on what you have on the drive the most important thing now might be getting data off it before you do anything else. If the only option when the disc is inserted is Restore it will likely restore to factory default and wipe out all your data.
A client of mine did this a couple of weeks ago. Ugly.
The links go to some odd place that I would ignore, but the advice might be sound.
