You want a gig of RAM for the video card, minimum. That Ideapad is not bad.
Not fantastic, but not bad. It will play D3.
It's the better of the 2. Since you cannot upgrade a video card you need to get the best possible one. In this case the IdeaPad has a slight edge.

Depends on your definition of good. To me good, $800, and gaming laptop dont really belong in the same sentence.

Agree. The "Ideapad" isn't marketed as a gaming machine. It's an "Entertainment" machine. Not QUITE the same. But it WOULD play D3 decently. Not great. Just well enough.

I got this message from the seller

I just saw your messages today, and unfortunately I cannot sell the laptop until the quarter ends. I am a poly student and need it for various classes. If you are still interested afterwards, feel free to contact me and we can work something out. The unit has undergone some cosmetic damage since I put the listing up, most notably the wearing away of the rubberized shell. The corners of the laptop have, upon inspection, visible wear. The screen also has some backlight bleed that can be reported to dell under warranty and replaced, which I am going to attempt to do prior to selling the laptop

Should I ask for less cuz of the cosmetic damage and is it worth it to get cosmetic damages fixed? Also, I am definitely going to have him fix the backlight bleed.

Alienware/dell customer service is the worst i have ever experienced. If something happens to go wrong or you need help, good luck you are on your own.
