The last few days my wireless setup has been acting up. It started when I unplugged the modem and router to move it across the room. When I plugged them back in, the network displayed on my wireless network list was My Network, but when I connected it showed as My Network 2, and provided no internet access. I reset everything and basically set up the router from the beginning again in order to fix this.
Now all of a sudden today, it is doing the same thing. I connect to My Network, but it is showing up as My Network 2 and not giving internet access. My brother's computer is functioning normally, so this time it seems to be an issue with my computer specifically. I have scoured the dark corners of Windows 7 to try to find a setting that may explain this, but cannot find anything. I really don't want to have to completely re-setup my router every time I want to get on the Internet.
Anyone have any ideas?

I just got windows 7 and noticed when my network was down and then came back up it said found new network and asked me to set up a new network called my network 2. I knew i didnt have 2 networks because I have no router so i just closed the setup program. I dont know if this helps, actually im sure it doesent but just posting my experiences with this as well. After canelling the setup my network went back to working like normal. Its some new type of setup in windows 7.
