Is it just me or does this commercial hurt an already injured Linda McMahon campaign? I am talking about the commercial with the two very well "put together" women in the SUV are discussing McMahon and professional wrestling...

Is perpetuating the "Stepford Wives" stereotype of Connecticut women and painting a very "Fairfield County" centric picture of Connecticut really helping her?

Not to mention the dialog is unrealistic and annoying.

I cringe every time I see this commercial.

Frankly, I cringe when I see ANY of the political commercials that are running right now.

I didn't see the commercial as a "Stepford Wive's" stereotype at all. I assumed she was reaching out to the female voters in Ct. Would you feel better if the women in the commercial were ugly? To be honest, they did look kind of typical to me, then again I do live in FFC. The dialogue was unremarkable though, I've seen the commercial several times and can't remember a word of it. And I agree about all the commercials overall. For one thing, there is a whole lot of mud-slinging going on.

Schiff is the answer. Period.

Homepage | Peter Schiff for Senate 2010

Besides his latest commercial kicks HER where it hurts.

That Schiff commercial is actually pretty funny. Why are people supporting McMahon at all? I really believe Connecticut is begging for a better option than Blumenthal, but the Republicans seem to be refusing to provide one...

To respond to andThenThereWere, I grew up in Westport, and still consider it my home town. I am there quite frequently and am committed to moving back there in the next couple of years... In any case, I don't relate to these women at all. Especially the 1986 Mary Beth Whitehead hairdo...

I agree. Schiff is really just a fiscal conservative too which is usally what people in CT seem to like. *shrug*

I had to Google Mary Beth Whitehead, then watch the commercial again. Too funny, you are right! I don't relate to the women in the commercial either, and now watching it more closely, the acting and outfits they are wearing is hilarious. And I STILL don't remember what they said.

The Mary Beth Whitehead reference was definitely on the obscure side Spot on, though!

There is, and that's exactly what's turning me off to Linda. I may just vote for Dick after all.
