$400 for electricity was for a month in the summer. We have central AC, though, but the lowest it ever went was 75. Coming from CA, we aren't used to AC and use as little as possible...it just dries everything out and makes the air stuffy.

The first fall one was about half of that.

Thats the point of AC in the 2nd place. Its supposed to de-humidify the air so it does not make the air stuffy in the summer.

That to me is it's only benefit. My friends have their thermostats set to 70 or less, which kills me. I would need to wear long sleeves in the summer if I set the AC that low, but maybe I am just too warm blooded.

I think you mean cold blooded as in fish and reptiles. I keep my bedroom below 60* in the Summer and sweat at the thought of anything over 82*.

Our electric bills average about $110.00 per month. Little lower in the Winter and little higher in the Summer. We don't heat hot water or cook with electricity so that saves about $40.00-50.00 per month on electricity.

We also have an annual car tax that most other states do not have.

So yes, it's very expensive to live here, especially in the southwestern part of the state. Once you get up to the New Haven/Waterbury areas and northeast, housing becomes more affordable. Taxes and utilities don't, though.
Got to remember any where in much of CT is priced towards the Wall Street set where 2-3 million a year is nothing unusual.

Well, I can "weight" about 275 on the bench press but I weigh 180-185 and am 5'10". I have a "farmers build" of more muscle mass because I work with my hands.

You don't have to be fat to not like heat. 20-70* is my comfort zone.

(It was all you can carry for $9.95 so I pushed the "rules". Yes, carried it to the counter and yes I am cheap. )

Agreed! Being warm or cold at a certain temperature has very little to do with weight. By the way, 20º C (68º F) is standard room temperature: it's amazing how many people complain about being cold when the thermostat is at this setting.

Exactly! (P.S. I think I know why your electric bills are so high. lol )

Can you share where this place is? And is it still all you can carry for that price?? Is there anything left?
