We are interested in adding a portico to our house. Any recommendations on a builder/contractor to use? Any idea of cost (I know it depends on size, and design)...

Yes - you can call MPires Construction (MPires Construction LLC.). It's a family owned business based in New Canaan, and the son (Mark) is my friend and neighbor (I'm in Fairfield). They are in the process of ripping out my old deck and screened porch and replacing it, as I write this. I've seen a lot of their work (having been in his house quite a bit), and they do a great job. Hence why I'm having them replace my deck and porch.

It would depend on the size and style. You need to talk to a builder directly about this. Jay
