Well, it seems that these storms always weaken or bypass altogether those who are fully prepared and expecting the worst. So, I would prepare like the dickens so that she will definitely miss CT altogether

It is currently a Cat 2 with 105 mph winds and will probably hit NC as a Cat 2. Be prepared for a Cat 1 and hope for a tropical storm.

Just stating the facts... and it still has land to go over...not diminishing the potential affects one bit. I said from the beginning wind will not be the big factor for CT..RAIN will.

That's good let's hope it doesn't build again once it's back over open water, hopefully its weak 1 or a strong TS but who knows at this point. We are definitely going to get something. The people on the coast have to worry more than myself inland.

So ,I should be expecting 9 + inches in the Derby area? I am making sandbags to put in front of my basement window tomorrow as I had flood issues. I am hoping that will keep some of it away from the window. Taping all my windows as well.

How much New Britain. How much rain will there be here?

Well I guess this is what I was believing to be more to rain than wind. I'm very lucky I dont live on a flood zone
